Graduate Student Housing

Western provides a limited number of on-campus apartments for graduate students in the Chipeta Apartment Complex.

  • The Chipeta Apartments offer one- and two-bedroom apartments. All bedrooms are private, single occupancy. For a two-bedroom unit, each student pays the price listed below. 
  • These carpeted apartments offer a living room, bathroom, full-sized refrigerator, range oven unit, kitchen sink and a walk-in storage space.
  • Chipeta Apartments are fully furnished (does not include personal kitchen supplies). 
  • Each room has access to wireless internet.
  • This building offers a computer lab and common area lounge, including a big screen television.

Apartments are for students only. Western does not provide family housing or accommodations.

  • One-bedroom unit - $3,500 per semester, $7,000 for the academic year (Lease term August 21, 2017 - May 4, 2018).
  • Two-bedroom unit - $3,300 per semester, $6,600 for the academic year (Lease term August 21, 2017 - May 4, 2018).
  • Meal plans are available for an additional cost.
  • A $100 housing deposit is required to apply.
​Housing Lease and Contract

Graduate students are held to the terms and conditions outlined in the Housing Lease and Contract. Additionally, all Western Colorado University and Residence Life policies as outlined in the Student Handbook also apply.
