Summer 2020 Registration Information and Dates

Registration Information for Continuing Students
  • Registration for new and continuing students begins on March 2, 2020.
  • Your bill is due the first day of the semester. Pay by the deadline to avoid late fees.

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is available for additional information on advising and registration for new students.

Add Course

  • Weekend classes must be added no later than the close of business day prior to the class date.
  • Online instructor permission required only if class is closed or requires special permission. Should be done via MyWestern.
  • Instructor permission is required through drop deadline. Should be done online via MyWestern. Requires Department Chair approval after drop deadline. Must be done in the Office of the Registrar Taylor Hall.

Drop Course

May term: May 14
10-week: June 11
1st 5 weeks: June 5
2nd 5 weeks: July 10

  • Weekend classes must be dropped by contacting the Office of the Registrar at 970.943.7003, by the close of business day prior to the start of class.
  • Students must drop a course during the first 15 percent of the class meetings.
  • No permission required. Refund will be given if applicable.
  • Should be done online via MyWestern, except weekend classes which must be done through the Office of the Registrar.

Withdraw From a Course

May term: May 26
10-week: July 16
1st 5 weeks: June 24
2nd 5 week: July 29

  • Weekend classes are ineligible for withdrawal.
  • Students must withdraw before two-thirds of class has occurred.
  • Advisor and instructor signatures required on a withdraw slip. Will appear on record as a “W”.  No Refund. Withdraw slip must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar.

Total Withdrawal from the University

  • Handled in the Students Affairs Office, located on the third floor of Taylor Hall

Credit/No Credit Option (Audit)

  • Same as add deadline
  • Must be done in the Office of the Registrar, located in Taylor Hall

Fall 2020 Term dates have changed. Fall term starts August 17th.

Registration for Continuing Students
  • Continuing students schedule an appointment to meet with your faculty advisor. Advising begins on March 2.
  • Registration for continuing students begins March 30. Your specific time relates to the number of credits you have completed.
  • Your bill is due the first day of the semester. Pay by the deadline to avoid late fees.
Registration for New Students

Registration for new students begins May 1.
