Weekend classes must be added
no later than the close of business
day prior to the class date.

Online instructor permission required
only if class is closed or requires special permission.  Should be done online – MyWestern

Instructor permission is required through the drop deadline
(see section below).  
Adding a class after the drop
deadline requires department chair approval.  A signed add form must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar in Taylor Hall.

Drop Course

Maymester - May 16th
1st 5 week - June 7th
2nd 5 week - July 12th
10 week session - June 13th

Weekend classes must be dropped by contacting the Office of the Registrar at 943.7003, by the close of business day prior to the start of class.

Students must drop a course during the first 15 percent of the class meetings.

No permission is required to drop
a course. A refund will be given
if applicable. Drops are completed through MyWestern.

Should be done online – MyWestern,
except weekend classes which
must be done through the Office of the Registrar.

Withdraw from a Course

Maymester - May 27th
1st 5 week - June 26th
2nd 5 week - July 31th
10 week session - July 18th

Weekend classes are ineligible for withdrawal.

Students must withdraw before two-thirds of class has occurred.

Advisor and instructor signatures required on a withdraw slip.  Will appear on record as a “W”. No Refund. Withdraw slip must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar.

Not Permitted.

Total Withdrawal from the University

Handled in the Students Affairs Office, located in Taylor Hall

Credit/No Credit Option (Audit)

Same as add deadline.

Must be done in the Office of the Registrar, located in Taylor Hall.

Not Permitted.
