Why did you decide to come to Western?

I came to Western as an undecided freshman wanting nothing but to stay in the mountains. Through the personal professors, specific course instruction and small class sizes I have been able to accomplish a Recreation major and Business minor in three-and-a-half years. Born and reared in the Rocky Mountains, I can't imagine calling any other place home.

Main Projects at Western?

Throughout my university career, I have organized and facilitated more than three successful events. A group of colleagues and I put on a community yard sale called "Spring Away" in 2013, as well as a slack-line competition on campus called "Slack Off" and helped host an intramural broomball tournament. Aside from these successful events, I have maintained a cumulative 3.6 GPA and made the Dean's List every semester. No other university could have given me the tools and opportunities to come up with the idea for an event and then see it through to the last participant.

For my future, I anticipate a management position at a resort or some kind of recreational facility where I can continue my love of the outdoors by helping people gain that experience.
