ROE Professor Ebbott talks Best Cities for Recreation

Recreation and Outdoor Education Professor Matthew Ebbott recently interviewed with WalletHub

Ebbott was featured an an expert on WalletHub's recent story "2017's Best & Worst Cities for an Active Lifestyle" which ranked the Top 100 US Cities that fostered healthy living.

According to Ebbott the top five indictors of a cities for an active lifestyle include:

  • An active population
  • Many different outdoor activities possible
  • A well-funded and maintained parks and recreation department
  • Recreation retail
  • Multi-generational use of available activities

He also included tips on maintaining an active lifestyle on a budget and pointers for parents encouraging active lifestyles in their children.
