Details:Swingin' hot jazz is kicking off the Alpenglow season!

Swing Je T'aime is a Denver-based band inspired by renowned guitarist Django Reinhardt. Inspired by his passion for the Gypsy/Manouche traditions of Django, guitarist Aaron Walker pulled the lead players from his Elevation Swing Orchestra to form Swing Je T'aime in 2009.

The heart of this group is its fantastic book of songs with an "exclusively for everyone" audience appeal. Their performances, which have been described as "Pink Martini meets Hot Club of France," include classic favorites, unburied treasures and quirky originals.

Says Walker: "Our music is a listener-friendly blend including fresh takes on classic favorites; unburied treasures; and innovative, original songs. We are a swing band, unconfined. Our primary influences include legendary two-fingered trailblazer Django Reinhardt and his Hot Club of France; the genre-bending "little orchestra" from Portland, Pink Martini; and accessible polystylism. While our performances are musically satisfying to the master's- and doctorate- level professionals in our ensemble, each song is crafted with the goal of maintaining a general accessibility. Through our exciting shows which uniquely balance musical familiarity and newness, we have achieved a rare level of multi-generational appeal."

Join us in the park at the Center's Outdoor Stage for an evening of sizzling hot swing!
Alpenglow concerts are held on the outdoor stage at the Center, rain or shine. They are free and open to the public.
