Welcome to the Western State College Union. The College Union offers avariety of services and programs to encompass the interests of the entire college community: students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.
As an integral part of the educational program of the College, the College Union provides many learning opportunities outside the classroom. The CollegeUnion serves as the College's activities and information center as well as being the central campus meeting place. It fosters an environment that promotes respect for all people and values diversity, leadership development, and the free exchange of ideas.
The College Union is funded by students, administered by students, and exists for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Students provide the vision, leadership, commitment, and momentum that keep the College Union a vital, vibrant part of the Western State College campus.

As the Assistant Director of Campus Life & Orientation, I work closely with many organizations and programs on campus such as Orientation, Program Council, ALPS, Family Weekend and Senior Reception. The Campus Life team works to enhance the college experience of our students by providing involvement opportunities outside of the classroom. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for personal and professional growth for our students through participation in campus clubs, organizations and Workstudy positions. My name is Jamee and I am the Campus Life Assistant. My primary job involves working with the Student Clubs and Organizations. I have the awesome task of working one on one with the club officers setting up their meetings and events, purchasing supplies, booking specials guests and keeping their budget balanced. I am also Staff Advisor to my favorite club, the Black Student Alliance (no bias, honest!) I also set up meeting rooms for other campus and community meetings as well as helping out with Orientation, Family Weekend and Senior Reception. If you have any questions on joining a club, stop by my office which is located behind the Union Front Desk. |
Jerri Puralewski (970) 943-2891 I am excited to be working here at Western in the beautiful Gunnison Valley! I am originally from Hawaii so the winters here are a bit cold but what a great place for a college education. If you love travelling and exploring my office is the one to visit.
