Through working on studnet publications, you build not only experience with real-world interviewing, writing, editing and publishing, you impact the Western communtiy with information they want, need and ought to ahve.
Now the Tops is expanding to an online publication.
The greatest need in the various media and other “information
industries” today is for journalists who understand complex
subjects and issues, and are able to write clearly and accurately
about that complexity for general audiences.
Through the Western’s Journalism Minor and the Top O’the
World, you will gain immediate and valuable journalism experience. As
the student voice of Western State College since 1921,
Top
O’the World is entirely written and produced by Western
students with funding from student fees and advertising. Also,
journalism credit is available for working on the paper, regardless
of your major.
