Athletics

Western students walk track at Mountaineer Bowl.

Western provides many  opportunities for athletic participation. Western is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and participates in Intercollegiate Athletics under the rules and guidelines of the NCAA, Division II.

Intramurals

The intramural sports program is available for those interested in competing in men's and women's leagues in basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, or co-ed softball and volleyball.

Club Sports

Club sports at Western are student organized and led. Teams travel and participate in intercollegiate competitions. Last year the Cycling Club won a team title at the 2006 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships.
