Escalante Fitness Center
Mission Statement:
Our mission at Western State Colorado University Escalante Fitness Center is to enhance the overall health and wellness of our students, faculty, staff and guests with a variety of fitness programs that inspire life changing experiences. Our goal is to provide our members with a fitness center that is safe, clean, and friendly. EFC’s programming is educational and dedicated to empowering our members in the area of health and fitness by encouraging regular exercise, healthy eating habits and sufficient rest and relaxation. EFC provides a learning environment and opportunities for the students to become group fitness instructors, personal trainers, fitness orientation leaders, climbing wall instructors, and fitness staff members.
The Fitness Facility:
When you come to the Escalante Fitness Center, it will feel like you’re at a big private gym. EFC will challenge you to be fit, feel younger, and healthier than you have ever felt in your life.
Programming:
In the Spring 2013, EFC programming will include the following group fitness classes:

| ZUMBA | Easy-to-follow Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party class. |
Newest group fitness class schedule may be picked up at the EFC front or call 943-2105 to check on your favorite class.
New Fitness Orientation sessions are available to introduce anyone new to all our fitness equipment. These are FREE of charge.
Roped Wall Climbing and Bouldering are at EFC too. Bouldering is available anytime the fitness center is opened. Roped Wall Climbing is open only when a WSCU Climbing Wall Attendant is on duty. Roped wall climbing is available Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. EFC has the tallest climbing wall and the only boudering cave in the Gunnison valley.
There is no excuse not to be fit and healthy while you are at WSCU! Come join the fun today!!!

Extended Studies Teachers, Health Center and Sudexo staff fall under Faculty/Staff category.
Community Climbing is for wall usage only. Children ages 5-18 years of age require adult supervision for the entire duration of climbing. Please follow all EFC Climbing Guidelines and EFC Rules and Regulations. Copies are available at front desk.
Combo EFC & Pool Pass is available to Faculty/Staff only.
Daily Fee pass participants must be accompanied in the gym by a WSCU Escalante Fitness Center member for the entire duration of their stay. Prior to entrance, an EFC waiver of liability must be signed at front desk. No public/community access allowed.
