Payment Due Dates & Options

Semester due dates for payment, payment plans and options for payment

When you register for classes payment is required by the dates below to avoid late charges.  Depending on how late you register, you may or may not get an official bill prior to these dates.  Students can check the balance owed using their WOL accounts or by contacting the WSC Cashier's office (970)943-3003.

To avoid substantial late fees and dis-enrollment the following dates are critical to either have made payments or made arrangements for payment with the Director of Financial Aid.

Fall 2009

    • Charges are due by: *4:00pm August 26th
    • Late Fees will be applied *August 27th

Spring 2010

    • Charges are due by: *4:00pm January 13th
    • Late Fees will be applied *January 14th

*Even if an official bill is NOT recieved via US Mail. Info always available via WOL accounts.

Late Fees range from a minimum of $50.00 to as much as a $150.00+, students may also be dis-enrolled for non-payment.

The W-Pay Payment Plan

Western State offers "W-pay" to provide a payment plan option for families. "W-Pay" application and information will be mailed out to students who have registered with bills prior to the start of each semester.  "W-Pay" looks at students semester costs and then splits the payments up over a 4 month period instead of making a lump sum payment. There is a charge to enroll in the "W-Pay" plan each semester, though the plan is interest free.  This is an excellent option for families to help with their budgeting process.  For more information, please call (970)943-3003.

Payment Options

Paying by Check or Credit Card

We encourage students to pay in advance by check or credit card to avoid last minute lines and hassles.  If mailing your check or credit card payment, please note it must be received (NOT just postmarked), by the due dates above, in the Cashier's Office.  Checks should be made payable to Western State College and should include the students ID number.

If paying by credit card, Visa, MasterCard or Discover accepted.  In addition to paying online or mailing payment in, you may also call the Cashier's Office at (970)943-3003 8:30-4:00 Monday through Friday to make payments over the phone.  Please note: you will experience extended busy signals if you call the Cashier's Office during fee payment times.

HAVING PROBLEMS

All families experience some type of problems in paying the large costs of a college education; please contact the Director of Financial Aid to see if any other arrangements might be possible.
