Scott Doyle

Scott is an Economics and History major from Lafayette, CO, and President of the Student Advisory Board for the Western Honors Program.  He is currently a Resident Advisor for the Honors Living Learning Community on the 3rd floor of Crystal Hall, one of Western’s first year residence halls; he loves helping students learn more about the honors program.

“My favorite thing about Western is that it just feels like home to me. Everyone around the campus is extremely friendly and nice.  Even the professors take time out of their day to help me out. I love the surrounding area because it's just a beautiful wilderness that gives me a genuine breath of fresh air every time I walk around.

I love meeting and working with other students while living on campus. It's nice to be able to walk less than a minute to go work on a project in the library, or go play a game of ping-pong in the Mountaineer Field House. Living on campus is definitely a great way to meet new people and experience new activities all the time!

I play cello and I'm on a music scholarship for the Western State Colorado University Chamber Orchestra. I've played music for a little bit over a decade now and I couldn't be happier that Gunnison has many music students and community members that play for the orchestra!”
