“My name is Cara Leapley and I am a sophomore Environment and Sustainability major at Western. I am interested in sustainability because I was always taught to leave the world a better place than what you came in to. I am very interested in campus sustainability, because I think it is important to spread awareness to students about environmental issues and what can be done to help. Although campus sustainability is taking on the project in a small scale, every little thing adds up.”
Cara is a student sustainability coordinator and manager of Freecycle in the basement of Ute Hall. She is currently adding Freecycle collection points around campus and has a passion for seeing Western students re-use items rather than throw them away!
