Research Statement:

Myinterests include the design and synthesis of conformationally-locked glutamateanalogs as probes to help understand and differentiate between neurotransmitterproteins within the glutamate system. In particular we aim to better define thecriteria needed for selective interactions with excitatory amino acidtransporters (EAATs) and the vesicular glutamate transporter (VGLUT).
