Dr. Gersh-Nesic is the founder of the New York Arts Etc., LLC, an arts education service that offers tours, lectures and curatorial support. Originally, New York Arts Exchange, S.P., which celebrated its 13th anniversary in 2016, the New York Arts Etc., LLC  has already expanded its horizons with the international student art competition, Art Above the Sofa: Next Generation, scheduled to open in April 2017.  This past Fall 2016, Beth curated Sasha Meret: Selected Works at Rafael Gallery, NYC (December 2016-March 2017); Ruby Silvious: 363 Days of Tea, at Riverrun Books and Manuscripts, Hasting-on-Hudson, NY (a pop-up December 2-4, 2016): and  Jay Milder: White Lines at Bogardus Mansion, NYC (October 2016).  These few examples demonstrate the commitment the NYAE has towards innovative exhibition practices that focus on audience development and customer relations.  NYAE maintains its own website, blog (http://newyorkarts-exchange.blogspot.com), Facebook page.  On Twitter and Instagram the handle is @BethNewYork. The NYAE also manages the virtual Museum of Kindness on Facebook.

Dr. Gersh-Nesic completed her doctorate in art history at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center.  She has engaged professionally with various arts venues, both big (Metropolitan Museum of Art) and small (Fridman Gallery, West Soho, New York City), in various capacities.  She has worked with a wide vary of  arts professional, most notably Thomas Sokolowski at the Grey Art Gallery, New York University, Thomas Leavitt, Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, Donna DeSalvo, Pepe Karmel, Maurice Berger and Douglas Davis, among others.
