Upcoming WSC Music Performances, Dec. 2 & 7
Dec. 2, 2010 -- The Western State College of Colorado (WSC) music ensembles will hold their final performances of the year on Dec. 2 and 7.
Conducted by John Wacker, the WSC Symphony Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2 at Gunnison High School.
On Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. the WSC Orchestra, WSC Chamber Choir and WSC Concert Choir will perform at Gunnison High School. The Orchestra is under the direction of Kenneth Todd and will perform works by G. F. Handel, W. A. Mozart and Benjamin Britten. Heather Roberson will conduct the Chamber and Concert Choirs and they will perform works by Bruckner, Palestrina, Gabrielli and Chuck Bridwell. The concert will close with the Orchestra and Choirs performing the “Halleluiah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.
Both events are free and the public is invited to attend.
