Upcoming WSC Music Ensemble Performances for October
Oct. 17, 2011 -- Western State College of Colorado (WSC) ensembles and music students have several performances coming up in October.
WSC music students will perform a student recital at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18. This recital will feature works for voice, clarinet, trumpet and flute and will be accompanied by Alyce Meredith and Sarah Stai. This event will be held in Quigley Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
On Wednesday, Oct. 19, the WSC Jazz Ensemble will perform under the direction of Robert Barrett during the noon hour at the College Center in the upstairs lobby.
The WSC Symphony Band will perform under the direction of John Wacker at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. This concert will be held in Taylor Auditorium.
As part of Family Weekend, WSC faculty and students will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28. This concert will include performances by Chamber Singers, Chamber Strings, Modern Jazz Combo, Flute Choir, Percussion Ensemble and WSC faculty. It will be held in Quigley Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
