At 2:15 p.m., Klein will give a pre-concert talk on “The Two Virtuosi: Busoni and Liszt.” Immediately following, Klein will perform works for piano by Ferruccio Busoni and Franz Liszt.

Both events are free and open to the public.

German-born pianist Klein is internationally acclaimed as a luminous and captivating artist and an introspective and poetic performer. The “New York Times” summed it up: "A fascinating artist with all the indispensable qualities: temperament, taste, touch, tone, the four T's of pianism."

Klein's career as soloist has taken him to numerous of the world's most prestigious venues. He has toured Europe, Russia, the Middle East and throughout the U.S. appearing in major music centers in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Cleveland, Houston and Seattle to name a few.

Klein is heard frequently on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" and on numerous syndicated and local radio programs. To attract and introduce television audiences to classical music, he created a series of short works by composers such as Chopin, Debussy and Stravinsky called “Intermezzo with Andreas Klein”, which was seen on PBS television stations nationwide.
