Avalanche Beacons Donated to Wilderness Pursuits

Western State College was the recipient of a generous, and possibly life saving gift this winter. Fourteen Backcountry Access avalanche beacons have been donated to Wilderness Pursuits (WP). WP will be able to these free of charge to students. The beacons were donated through the Suzy Greene Memorial Fund. Greene was an outdoor enthusiast who died in an avalanche while snow shoeing on Snoqualmie Pass near Seattle, Washington in 2003. Continue Reading
