Dr. Gloria Beim Speaks at Tea for Women's History Month

Dr. Gloria Beim, chief physician for the U.S. Winter Olympic Team and a Western team doctor, was the keynote speaker at a tea in honor of Women's History Month.

Beim emphasized how personal connections, along with hard work, lead to success. She noted how learning Russian and offering both equipment and assistance to others helped her – and the athletes she served – at the recent Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. She explained how she was now learning Portuguese preparation for the 2016 Summer Games in Brazil.

The event packed the University Center Ballroom as Beim shared her experiences in both words and pictures. It also featured awards for leadership among both students and faculty.
