Heather Buffington Roberson is Assistant Professor of Voice at Western State College where she directs concert choir, chamber singers, teaches voice, and classes in the general music curriculum.  
Dr. Roberson completed her DMA in Choral Conducting at the University of Kansas where she directed Vocal Collegium Musicum, Women's Chorale, and the Women's Glee ensemble.  Her lecture-recital featured compositions by Renaissance composers and music of Arvo Pärt.  She received her BM in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois and her MA in Choral Conducting from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. 

Prior to her appointment at KU, Dr. Roberson was the Director of Choral Activities and Instructor of Voice at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, KS where she directed three choirs, taught studio voice, aural skills, music literature, conducting, music fundamentals, and maintained a private voice studio.  Dr. Roberson was a frequent clinician and adjudicator in southwest Kansas and has appeared as a guest soloist with the Dodge City Symphony and the Iowa Wesleyan College Concert Choir.  She also served on the voice faculty at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
