Sleep or Surf, You Decide

All campus residence halls and apartments have connectivity to the WSC network and the Internet. If you plan to bring a personal computer, please be aware of the computing requirements and recommendations.

Wired Buildings

The following residence halls and apartments provide a wired network connection for each bed.

• Crystal (Escalante Complex)
• Tomichi (Escalante Complex)
• Colorado (Escalante Complex)
• Dolores (Escalante Complex)
• Chipeta (Apartments)
• Coronado (Faculty and Staff Housing)

For connectivity to the wired network, residents will need an ethernet adapter (10/100/1000Base-TX, most computers have them built in) and a network cable (6 - 12' long) for their computer. If you are living in a dorm or apartment with a wired connection but bringing a laptop, you should consider outfitting your computer with a wireless network adapter (802.11 b/g) as well because there are other areas of campus that provide wireless network access for residents.

For connectivity to the wireless network, residents will need a 802.11 b/g wireless network adapter for their computer. Macintosh users can use an Airport card.
