Holiday & Payroll Schedule

Holiday Schedule

Official holdays which fall on dates when classes are regularly scheduled have been designated as "floating holidays" at Western State. This means that employees may choose when they wish to take these holidays, depending upon the needs and function of their departments. The floating holidays may be taken in advance of when they occur, but if an employee terminates prior to the official State occurrence of the holiday, the holiday(s) taken will be deducted from the final paycheck. Also, floating holidays must be taken during the same calendar year or the benefit is lost. We hope everyone will plan and schedule their holidays throughout the year to best fit departmental schedules. If you have questions, please call Human Resources at -3140.
