Celebration of Giving
Each year, the Foundation celebrates the generous donors of scholarships and brings them together with their recipients.
Each year, the Western State College Foundation holds its scholarship donor/recipient dinner,
the Celebration of Giving, a family-style Thanksgiving meal. It has grown in the past decade, from a lunch of 80 people into a banquet, with nearly 200 people attending.
The relationships formed between scholarship donors and recipients are powerful and touching, and this Banquet gives them the opportunity to establish those connections. A meaningful event, the Celebration of Giving was made even more significant last year as it coincided with Western’s Heritage to Horizon to celebrate WSC’s 100th birthday.
