Requirements & Additional Information

FINANCIAL AID

The scholarships listed are funded largely from private sources and endowment funds. If you are interested in State and/or Federal funding through grants, loans or work, you should complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Please, contact the Office of Financial Aid for further information.

REQUIREMENTS TO MAINTAIN SCHOLARSHIPS

All scholarships that are awarded for more than one term will have specific academic requirements to maintain the scholarship.  In general, you can expect that you will have to complete each semester as a full-time student and maintain a high level of academic performance.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION

Western also offers an internet connection linked to a national computerized scholarship search program that can be used by prospective or current students. Again, please contact the financial aid office for more information. Should you have questions regarding any of these or other scholarships, please feel free to contact the Office of Financial Aid.

DISCLAIMERS

Western does not guarantee that you will receive any of the scholarships listed.  Remember that even if you meet all the requirements for the scholarship(s) for which you are applying and your application is received in a timely manner, the scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.

This publication reflects the current criteria and availability of scholarships at Western State College as of January, 2000. Availability, amounts and application procedures are subject to change and availability of funding.
