Apply for College Opportunity Fund
The College Opportunity Trust Fund (COF) provides a stipend to eligible in-state (resident) undergraduate students. The stipend pays a portion of total in-state tuition while attending a Colorado public or participating private institution.

Apply for COF at https://cof.college-assist.org
- Authorize the use of your COF funds
You can accept or decline the use of the COF stipend for a term by visiting your WOL account. Logon to WOL and go to " School Services ," " Administrative Services ," " Student Services and Financial Aid ," " Student Records, " and finally " COF Stipend Authorization." Select the term you wish to update and check the appropriate box to decline or accept the stipend.
Student Verification of Lawful Presence

As of August 1, 2006, Colorado House Bill 06S- 1023 requires state agencies verify the lawful presence of all applicants for public benefits.Colorado Law requires students who are receiving a "public benefit" to prove they are lawfully present in the United States. Public benefits include in-state tuition, WUE tuition, College Opportunity Fund stipends, military and athletic tuition waivers and any other state or institutionally funded financial benefit.
