Ms. Mugglestone has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver, with emphases in Policy, Advocacy and Non-Profit Management. She graduated from Western State College of Colorado in 1998 with a degree in Sociology and a minor in English. After graduation she spent 8 years working on political campaigns and for non-profit agencies, advocating for women's health care and child welfare in both Denver and Washington, DC.
Ms. Mugglestone's academic interests are in grassroots advocacy, public policy analysis, interest groups, environmental policy and international human rights. She has gained extensive experience working with domestic and international advocacy groups in Denver and Washington, DC to effect the policy process. She is especially interested in women's human rights and how to effect change for women globally.
