Biography

Karin earned her Masters Degree in Economic and Political Sciences from the University of Lund, Sweden. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Karin grew up in Sweden and came to the United States through AIESEC, a work exchange program for students in business and economics. Her early professional career included working in the US Senate as a Legislative Assistant and as a Researcher for the World Bank in Washington, D.C. Karin then spent many years as an Economist in the corporate planning department of several publicly traded companies. More recently Karin was employed by Merrill Lynch in Houston, Texas, as a Financial Advisor. Concurrent with per professional career, Karin has been a long term volunteer for Junior Achievement establishing JA programs in the former Soviet Union and teaching the principles of the free market system. She has also facilitated several employee workshops to communicate corporate visions and create an environment of trust and respect. Karin currently teaches Introduction to Financial Accounting, Personal Finance, and Investments.
