Libertarian Philosophy

I am a Libertarian.

Fundamentally, that means I believe in the freedom of adults to do as they please, so long as they don't interfere with the right of other adults to do the same.

It is not surprising that neither the left nor the right much like Libertarians. Very generally speaking, the liberal left wishes to restrict economic rights. The conservative right wishes to restrict social rights.

To the maximum extent possible, I wish to restrict neither.

On the left I've placed links to prominent Libertarian organizations or writers. Note that I do not necessarily agree with each and every one of them. Just as with Liberals or Conservatives, Libertarian thought spans a rainbow of perspectives from the most hard-core anarchical to very moderate, main stream. These sites have things worth reading.
