Robot Mania

The Robotics Challenge is a Mars simulation scenario, where the goal is to build a functional autonomous robot that can navigate through Mars like terrain (i.e. sand dunes). To build a functional autonomous robot, we needed to combine our knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer science together. In this presentation, we will explain our robot’s mechanical design, the coding and wiring, as well as, the math behind it all. We will also talk about the robot’s performance at the Robotics Challenge, the flaws encountered and the progression from last year’s robot. Lastly, we will discuss possible improvements to the robot to have an even better one next year!
