A comprehensive understanding of mathematics is often billed as one of the most important aspects of our education system. But how can the concepts and methods learned in the classroom be applied after acquiring an undergraduate degree? Specifically, I will discuss the required course load for a Master’s in Biostatistics and a few of the research questions I was able to assess through my studies. Finally, I will briefly present the research questions I will study in my thesis: Which baseline and post-injury characteristics affect incidence rate of concussion and time to recovery in university athletes?
