HISTORY OF SKIING IN THE GUNNISON COUNTRY

Location: Crested Butte Mountain Resort
Spend a day on the slopes with Duane Vandenbusche as he recounts the history of skiing in the Gunnison Country and Mount Crested Butte. The day starts with breakfast and a brief lecture. Participants then traverse the slopes to learn the history and stories behind the lifts and runs that make up Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s terrain. Participants will need to provide their own pass for the day and provide their own equipment necessary for skiing the mountain. Dress accordingly and be sure to pack water and snacks. Participants should be comfortable skiing “intermediate” runs.
