Wilderness Pursuits provides fun, low-cost, and professional-quality co-curricular outdoor expeditions and resources for the students of Western State Colorado University. Wilderness Pursuits trips are led by students and designed to meet the needs of a broad range of abilities and interests, while developing outdoor skills and fostering community, citizenry, environmental stewardship and healthy living.

Wilderness Pursuits is also home to the WP Tune/Bike Shop, hosting FREE CLINICS to help you get the most out of our space. We also host the Terbush Memorial Summit, Wilderness Based Orientation, and many of our members are active participants on the Mountain Rescue Team.

Dream of becoming an outdoor trip leader? The Terbush Memorial Summit offers professional instruction for collegiate level outdoor educators. Apply early for this amazing opportunity- each participant automatically gets a $1000 scholarship!! Priority is given to Western students and WP trip leaders.
