Top O' the World - Student Newspaper

Top O’ the World , a bi-weekly student-run newspaper is funded by the Student Government Association and independent advertising. Published every other Thursday, it is the independent student voice for Western and the Gunnison community.

With a staff of editors, writers, layout personnel, photographers, and advertisement managers, the paper offers students both a strong voice in their campus community lives and a training-ground for future journalistic activities.

As the student voice of Western State Colorado University since 1921,Top O’the World is entirely written and produced by Western students with funding from student fees and advertising Also, practicum credit is available for working on the paper, regardless of your major.

In other words, you do not have to be a communications major to join the staff. All you have to do is apply for the staff through the editor.

Offices are located in the University Center, Room 103.
