BOETTCHER OPPORTUNITY AWARD

Available to:
Full-time under-represented students at Western. Students must be Colorado residents; sophomore, junior or senior status at WSC with a 3.0 GPA in previous academic work.
 
Provided by:
Boettcher Foundation.
 
Amount:
Five $3,000 scholarships to be awarded.
 
Selected by:
Western State College Foundation Scholarship Committee.
 
Application:
Complete and submit Western's Common Scholarship Application.
 
Other:  If the scholarship is awarded the student will be required to submit information to the WSC Foundation regarding their academic experience.
 

CAPLAN, GERALD SCHOLARSHIP

Available to:
Graduates of small public Colorado high schools (with a three-year graduating class size of 100 graduates or less). Preference given to minority students with financial need.  Preference given to students who are the first in their families to attend college.

Award depends on funds available.
 
Selected by:
WSC Financial Aid Office in cooperation with Mr. Caplan.

MULTI-CULTURAL AWARENESS SCHOLARSHIP


Available to:
All full-time, Colorado residents who have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Must be able to demonstrate a contribution or promotion of diversity on campus.

Provided by:
Western State College.

Amount:
Approximately 25 awards at a $1,000 minimum.

Selected by:
Selected by the  Director of the Multicultural Center.

ROCH, SAMUEL WILLIAM NATHANIEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP


Available to:
Full time students, active members of the cross country or track & field teams, who have demonstrated both academic and financial need. Preference given to minority students and Colorado residents.

Stephen Roch and Lorie Moreno-Roch, both WSC Alumni, to honor their beloved son Samuel.

SCHELE, DR. LINDA MEMORIAL ART SCHOLARSHIP


Available to:
Art majors who can demonstrate financial need. Students must be full-time and maintain a 3.0 GPA.  Preference will be given to non-traditional students, single parents, women, minorities, participants in WSC Spectrum and those using technical assistance.
