Membership to the Mountaineer Field House

FAQs

Q - Who is eligible for membership?
A - Current Western students registered for at least 6 credits, current Western and Sodexo employees and emeritus who are employed at least .5 time, Western alumni, and spouses, partners and dependents of any of the above people.

Q - Can community members buy memberships?
A - Membership will be available to community members beginning in the fall of 2014.

Q - What is included with a MFH membership?
A - Members have access to the Aquatic Center, batting/golf cage, climbing wall, equipment rentals, field house courts, the Fitness Center, group fitness classes, the indoor track, and the trampoline and foam pit.

Q - Why is the trampoline and foam pit closed and when will it open?
A - The trampoline and foam pit are undergoing a padding redesign to provide additional protection to jumpers.  The redesign will provide significantly more padding that will help prevent jumpers from hitting the hard field house flooring surface.  The trampoline should be on-line early this summer.

Q - Can my child climb on the Western climbing wall?
A - Parents must accompany children under the age of 16.  Our wall was designed and the routes are set for college-aged people.  We do not have auto-belays, children's harnesses or children's shoes and our wall is not appropriate or safe for small children.

Q - How do I purchase a membership?
A - Please complete our Membership Form and Waiver and return it to the Front Desk of the Mountaineer Field House.

Q - Can I talk to someone in person about membership options?
