Women's Dance Team

Western's Dance Team aims to promote school spirit, support the NCAA athletic teams, and be active within the campus community! A Dance Team member needs to demonstrate leadership, model good behavior, exhibit good citizenship and dedication.  The Western Dance Team is also a performing team and has many opportunities to entertain and perform. It is our intention to raise the bar of 'school spirit' and 'performance' all across the Western Campus and beyond! #WesternUp

Performance Schedules

The Dance Team is going to perform at the following dates this semester!

February 6th, 21st, and 28th during the Women's and Men's Hockey Games

More Information

Being a dancer is a wonderful experience, and being a part of the larger Western experience is the whole reason for dancing! You will be a vital member of the campus, a major contributor to the positive vibe at home athletic contests, and a role model and leader to many. To be a part of the Western State Dance Team you must have a passion for dance and a good attitude. Show up with these two requirements and the rest will take care of itself!  A basic knowledge of dance is necessary as well. It is a privilege and honor to wear the uniform and emblem of Western and we are very excited for all to take part. Come on out, support Western, and enjoy your time at the University!

Practice Times

The Western Dance Team practices Monday - Friday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in Activity Room #1 at the Mountaineer Field House.
