The 18-credit Communication and Theatre Nucleus is required for all Communication and Theatre Majors.

Communication Emphasis

A minimum of 36 credits is required including the 18-credit Communication and Theatre Nucleus, nine credits of upper-division Communication and Theatre electives and the following:
COTH 271 Small Group Communication 3 cr
One of the following:
COTH 215 Development of Theatre I 3 cr
COTH 216 Development of Theatre II 3 cr
One of the following:
COTH 241 Media Writing 3 cr
COTH 264 Film and Video Production 3 cr

Organizational Communication Emphasis

A minimum of 36 credits is required including the 18-credit Communication and Theatre Nucleus and the following:
COTH 271 Small Group Communication 3 cr
COTH 371 Argument and Conflict Management 3 cr
COTH 372 Issues Management 3 cr
COTH 374 Public Relations Communication 3 cr

Communication and Theatre Major: Comprehensive Program

Film, Video and Media Emphasis

A minimum of 60 credits is required including the 18-credit Communication and Theatre Nucleus, nine credits of upper-division Communication and Theatre electives, and six credits from outside Communication and Theatre in consultation with an advisor, and the following:

Communication and Theatre Minor

A minimum of 21 credits is required for a Communication and Theatre Minor. Students are advised to consult with their faculty advisor before deciding upon an appropriate concentration to meet their specific needs.
