GUNNISON, Colo. – Teams can continue to register for the 2012 Men's
Basketball Hoop Heaven Team Camps, scheduled for June 28-30 on the
Western State College campus. More than 40 teams traveled from four
states for competition, clinics and practice sessions with the
Mountaineer coaching staff and student-athletes.
Games begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, after check-in and meetings
for coaches and student-athletes. All teams are guaranteed eight games
and teams can also take advantage of player and coaches clinics,
practice sessions and special situation games. The price of $195 per
student-athlete includes all room and board on the Western State campus.
One coach will stay free if the team has eight or more
student-athletes.
The Hoop Heaven Team Camp camp uses all available regulation courts at
the Western State campus, Gunnison Community Center, Gunnison Community
Schools and Gunnison High School. The camps are operated by the
Mountaineer men's basketball team, which advanced to the quarterfinals
of the 2012 RMAC Shootout with three all-conference student-athletes.
