Students who come to Western State College of Colorado and have an interest in Medicine generally obtain an emphasis within the Biology major in Cell Biology/Pre-Medicine.

Cell Biology/Pre-Medicine Emphasis:

Many of our students go on into careers in biotechnology, medicine, veterinary medicine and graduate school in cell, developmental, or molecular biology. Those students would best be served by fulfilling the course requirements (listed below) for the Cell Biology/Pre-Medicine Emphasis.

The Cell Biology/Pre-Medicine Emphasis requires a minimum of 69 credits including the 19-credit Biology Nucleus, 16 additional credits in Biology,
and 34 credits of supporting courses.
