Research Interests
My research interests involve microscopic anatomy, reproductive biology, and cell biology.
I advise students on careers in medicine and direct student research using light and scanning electron microscopy to examine the effects of disease at the tissue and organ level. When not in my office, I can often be found instructing Tai Chi on the lawn.

Student Research Projects Supervised
- Investigation of the annual reproductive cycle of deer mice ( Peromyscus maniculatus ) in the Gunnison Basin through light and scanning electronic microscopy of testicular and ovarian morphology. Timothy J. Bedient and Curtis Gravis.
- An assessment of pulmonary arteriole morphology using light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy in normal and high mountain diseased cattle. Michael Bock, Curt Gravis, and Timothy Holt.
