Transfer Application Process

Applying to Western as a Transfer Student

Transfer Student Admissions Criteria

Definition of a Transfer Student: Any student who has taken college courses after high school graduation.  A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for Transfer Admission to Western.

Here are the steps to apply for admission as a transfer student:

1. Apply for Admission

2. Request that your college transcript(s) be sent to Western.  Send official transcripts from each college you have attended.

3. If you've earned fewer than 30 semester credit hours at a college, then you must send us official transcripts from your high school, and your ACT and/or SAT scores. 

4. Include the $30 application fee. The fee can be paid online with online applications or can be mailed in.

Once we have received all of your application materials, it typically takes 3 weeks to process and get the admission decision back to you.  You should expect to receive your transfer credit evaluation 2-4 weeks after being admitted.
