Non Resident Freshman Scholarships
Incoming freshmen who are residents of states other than Colorado and who do not receive WUE tuition classification are eligible for the scholarships listed below.
4 Year Merit Scholarships
Western Scholars Award - $3,000
- 4.00 GPA; 22 ACT/1000 SAT* or higher
- 3.00-3.99 GPA; 28 ACT/1240 SAT* or higher
- Awarded in addition to Mountaineer Award
- A 3.00 cumulative grade point average is required for renewal each year
Western Advantage Award - $2,500
- 3.00-3.99 GPA
- 22-27 ACT /1000-1230 SAT*
- Awarded in addition to Mountaineer Award
- A 2.75 cumulative grade point average is required for renewal each year
Mountaineer Award - $1,000- $2,500
- 2.25-4.00 GPA
- 18 ACT/850 SAT* or higher
- Award amounts vary based on high school curriculum, extra-curricular activities, and application portfolio review
- A 2.00 cumulative grade point average is required for renewal each year
