Encrypt a Document with a Password - Microsoft Office 2010
- Click on File, Info, then click Protect Document.
- Choose the option "Encrypt with Password"
- In the Password box, type a password, and then click OK.
- In the Confirm Password dialog box type the password again, and then click OK.
- To save the password, save the file.
*Please note: If you lose your password, IT Services cannot recover your document.
