Off Campus Access
Certain campus resources are available from off campus via a secure portal at https://access.western.edu. Log in with your regular username and password.
Once you are logged in to the access server, what you see will depend on your role at the University.
For example, a student will see:

Students, select Student1 if your student ID ends in an odd number, Student2 if your ID ends in an even number. When you click the correct link you will be taken directly to your student folder. (If you accidentally select the wrong one, you will get an error). To access the Teacher Folders, simply select the link and scroll to find the desired folder.
Faculty, select the My Teacher Folder link to go directly to your folders (Drop Off, Pick Up and Shared) or select Teacher Folders to scroll through all teacher folders.
It is highly recommended you save files locally (such as on your Desktop) and open to work on it from your home computer, rather than open the file from the server. When you are finished working on the file, save it locally, then upload and overwrite the old copy.
You can edit files directly on the server, but be aware that if your Internet connection drops or your session times out you might not be able to save your changes.
