Communication Arts, Languages & Literature Department
In this broad area of what some call “the humanities,” students focus on communication in all media – from public speaking to media production, language studies to philosophy. They examine and analyze the great works of great minds, while learning the crafts needed to create new classics.
Theatre & Performance students stage plays and other performances in Western's state-of-the-art facilities. Other students produce and edit video projects, broadcast on Western's own KWSB radio station, and publish a weekly newspaper. English majors come to understand the rich history and craft of America's common language, while Spanish majors immerse themselves in a language and culture increasingly integrated with our nation's future.
