Keynote Speaker: Sue Cooper, PhD

Dr. Cooper is a psychologist and educator who has been in private practice for 25 years in Colorado Springs. She specializes in treating eating disorders both in individual and group therapy as well as working with associated disorders such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. She is also the co-author of Conquering Eating Disorders: How Family Communication Heals (2008). Having been for many years the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the Colorado School of Professional Psychology (now the University of the Rockies), she continues to teach graduate courses in psychology as a professor emerita. Dr. Cooper shows her dedication to community health and well being by serving on the board of the Switzer Institute and Counseling Center, an agency in Colorado Springs that provides services to those in the community who do not have insurance.
