  • Academic Policies are found in the current College Catalog beginning on page 25.

  • Eligibility for Athletics, Financial Aid and Veterans Benefits is 12 credits in a 16 week term.

Changing Residency

The petition for in-state tuition classification and accompanying documentation must be submitted to the Admissions Office no later than the first day of class for that term in order to be considered an in-state student for that term. For Spring 2012, the deadline to petition is January 9, 2012.

Attendance on the First Day of Classes

Instructors reserve the right to drop students from class rolls if they miss the first class meeting. If circumstances, such as weather or flight arrangements, prevent a student from attending the first class session, it is the student’s responsibility to contact each instructor to request the seat be held. A directory of instructor office and telephone numbers is available online using the directory.

Spring Graduation Information

Students who plan to complete all degree requirements by the end the term must have filed an Intent to Graduate form with the Registration Services Office by the end of their Junior year.  If this has not been completed, students should meet with their advisors immediately to initiate the process.

Students planning to graduate or participate in commencement must submit an Application for Graduation by January 27, 2012. Applications are located in Registration Services, Taylor Hall 300.

Commencement is scheduled for May 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.  Students who wish to participate in commencement with credits outstanding may do so if they meet the following criteria:

    • Students must have 9 or fewer credits remaining after Spring term.

    • These outstanding credits must be completed during the following semester; or if a capstone or internship must be registered in the next term it is offered.

    • Students must be registered for all of their remaining credits by March 30, 2012.

    • Students must be in good academic standing at the start of the term in which they participate in the commencement ceremony.
