Looking for a supportive community to help you in your transition to Western State Colorado University?  Concerned about your math and English skills?

Math and
English

The PRIME Program is an innovative learning community designed to support incoming students who are building their skills in University-level math, reading, and writing.

Students in the PRiME Program are placed in ENG 099 and MATH 098 based on standard University entrance exam scores. Students come from many backgrounds and circumstances with one thing in common:  a desire to get  started off right by building their math and English skills in a supportive learning community.

How do you join the PRIME Program?

Ask about the PRIME Program during your registration appointment to learn more details.

Both ENG 099 and MATH 098 are three credit classes which count toward being a full-time student during the semester, but do not count toward graduation.

"The PRIME Program gave me people I could turn to for help or just to talk. My first semester at WSCU turned out to be a wonderful transition."

  - Michael S., Exercise and Sport Science

"Seeing my teachers and classmates in the PRIME Program five days a week was awesome. It helped us get to know each other really well."   - Romy H., History

There is an addition fee for developmental courses.
