Grading Policies

Academic Dean's List

Students who have attained a grade-point average of 3.700 or above during a semester, while carrying a full course load of letter graded courses, are placed on the Academic Dean's List.

This means at least 12 of the student's credits must have received a letter grade, and not a pass or satisfactory, in order for the student to qualify for the Academic Dean's List. Current Dean's List.

Academic Suspension Information and Appeals Process

Students who are placed on academic suspension are contacted by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs soon after grades are posted for the term. Students who wish to appeal the suspension should review the Academic Suspension and Appeals Process. Additional information on academic suspension may be found in the University Catalog.

Students eligible to appeal must complete an Application to Appeal.

Academic appeals for 2014-2015 are scheduled on the following days:

Thursday, December 4
Thursday, January 8
Thursday, April 2
Friday, May 29
Monday, July 20
Wednesday, August 19

The deadline for submission of documents  is 5:00 p.m. 2 business days prior to the appeal date.

Appeal session will be held in conference room 120 Hurst Hall.  Appointments will be scheduled by the Office of the Registrar.
